The suspect can has "MI OR 10C" and the other can is written "OR MI 10C."There is a number of some kind to the right of the barcode that resembles a serial number.
The logo printed on the pull tab of the suspect can is flat.The cash deposit text on the top of the can is in a different position and different font. The Monster logo on the pull tab of the can has always been printed using small dots. The taste, however, is very noticeably different and was enough to make several of us say "eww."We don't really feel any caffeine jolt from the suspect cans.The can texture is noticeably different on the suspect cans.The orange color is lighter and the silver that's mixed with the orange doesn't appear to be as 'deep' on the suspect cans.The can top was a different color, silver instead of orange.We weren't able to take a photo of this. The can differences weren't much to make us stop to question the integrity of the product. It tastes like bitter grapefruit with somewhat of a 'chemical' taste. But we think we've received counterfeits this time around.These new orders look and taste different from all other previous orders and from any other retail purchases:The taste wasn't the usual 'orange creamsicle' we've come to know. Been getting regular orders for the staff (we're caffeine junkies!!) and bought four cases to stock up. Hands down for us the best-tasting of the Monster drinks.
